Giving customers reasons to,(ahem) buy

"It's another sign where pornography is right on the front lines of a lot of new trends." So sez Jeff Lanctot, of Avenue A/Razorfish. Let's be more specific: there's nothing new about this trend. Example: it's no secret that porn producers, for many years, pushed video technology to get it where it is today. Much of what you see on everything from YouTube to espn.com can trace its techno-root (so to speak) to porn video R&D. Might have something to do with the closeups. So now, there's a French tee-shirt brand using titillation (again, so to speak) to flog underwear.
