Today's "Exhibit A" for the old adage that companies usually get the PR they deserve: the clueless crew at NCO Financial Systems. Lisa Hagee, NCO's vice president of "marketing", term used generously here, in an interview with David Lazarus of the San Francisco Chronicle, (Consumer caught in debt mess) said it all in this deer-in-the-headlights response to DL's query as to why NCO was putting a possibly illegal squeeze on someone who wasn't even a customer: "NCO's policy is to not provide comments to the press. When we have something to say, we issue a press release." Summer PR interns need not apply.
